You need Animation Shop for the animation

 

Preparations:

• Copy the selection file to the Selections folder of PSP

• Open the mask file in PSP and minimize to tray

• PSP 9  Users (or earlier versions): If you do not have the 20/20 mask needed for this tutorial you can download it HERE - Copy the 20/20 mask file to the mask folder of PSP

 

Used Colors

Foregroundcolor: #965f67

Backgroundcolor: #e3bac1

This translation is written with PSP13 but can also be made with other PSP versions.

01.

Open a new transparent image of 750 x 500 px

Fill with the Foregroundcolor

Layers - New Raster Layer

Fill with the Backgroundcolor

Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image - aditascreations_mask_42.jpg - Source Luminance checked - Invert Mask Data NOT checked

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Adjust - Sharrpness - Sharpen

Layers - Merge - Merge Visible

 

02.

Layers - Duplicate - Close this layer for now

Layer Palette - Click on the Bottom layer

Effects - Plugins - Flaming Pear - Flood

 

03.

Layer Palette - Click on the top layer - Open it again

Effects - Plugins - Flaming Pear - Flexify 2

Image - Resize - 50% - Resize all layers not checked

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Glass -  Basic Tab (Foregroundcolor)

 

04.

Layer Palette - Click on the Bottom layer

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - @tresor
 

Fill the selection with the Foregroundcolor

Selections - Modify - Contract - 3 px

Fill with the Backgroudcolor

Selections - Select None

Effects - Plugins - Filter Factory G -  Blast`Em

Rename this layer into "Blast" (double click in the layer palette and change the name)

 

05.

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - @tresor

Fill with the Foregroundcolor

Selections - Modify - Contract - 3 px

Fill with the Backgroudcolor

Selections - Select None

Layer Palette - Set the Layer Opacity of this layer to 50

Effects  3D Effects - Dropshadow - 5 - 5 - 50 - 5 - #000000

Effects  3D Effects - Dropshadow - Minus 5 - Minus 5 - 50 - 5 - #000000

Effects - Plugins - MuRa's Seamless - Shift at Wave

 

06.

Layer Palette - Click on the top layer

Layers - Duplicate

Image - Resize - 20% - Resize all layers not checked

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

07.

Layers - Duplicate

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

 

08.

Layers - Duplicate

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

 

09.

Open Tube "1072-luzcristina" - Edit - Copy

On your work image  - Edit  - Paste As New Layer

Layers - Load/Save Mask - Load Mask from Disk - 20/20

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Layers - Arrange - Move Down - Repeat 4 Times!

Layer Palette - Set the Layer Opacity of this layer to 82

 

10.

Layer Palette - Click on the top layer

Open Tube "rand" - Edit - Copy

On your work image  - Edit  - Paste As New Layer

 

11.

Open Tube "schrift" - Edit - Copy

On your work image  - Edit  - Paste As New Layer

Move where you like it.

 

12.

Layers - New Raster Layer

Add your name or watermark now!

 

13.

Animation

Layer Palette - Click on the layer you have renamed into "Blast"

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin  - Xenofex 2 - Constellation

Edit - Copy Special - Copy Merged (if you do not have this option: Layers - Merge all - Edit - Copy)

Edit - Copy

Go to Animation Shop (From now on called AS)

Edit - Paste As New Animation

 

14.

Go back to PSP

Undo the last command  ( If you Layers - Merged and copied: undo the 2 last commands)

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin  - Xenofex 2 - Constellation - Click Once on "Random Seed"

Edit - Copy Special - Copy Merged (if you do not have this option: Layers - Merge all - Edit - Copy)

 

15.

Go to AS

Edit - Paste After Curent Frame

 

16.

Go back to PSP

Undo the last command  ( If you Layers - Merged and copied: undo the 2 last commands)

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin  - Xenofex 2 - Constellation - Click Once on "Random Seed"

Edit - Copy Special - Copy Merged (if you do not have this option: Layers - Merge all - Edit - Copy)

 

17.

Go to AS

Edit - Paste After Curent Frame

You have 3 frames in total now

View - Animation -  to see the result

 

18.

Save as GIF file and you're done!
