Materials download  

Plugins:

  • RCS Filter Pak 1.0 - RCS TripleExposure.

  • Simple - 4 Way Average.

  • UnPlugged Shapes - Pieslice

  • Flaming Pear - Flood.

  • AlienSkin - EyeCandy5 Impact - Perspective Shadow.

Preparations:

  • Copy the selection files to the Selections folder of PSP

  • Open the mask file in PSP and minimize to tray

  • Double Click on the Eye Candy Preset, it will be imported automatically

  • Open the Brushes in PSP and export as custom brush ( File - Export - Custom Brush) NOTE: In other versions than PSP 13 I am using you may need to resize the brush first (smaller) to get it exported.

  • PSP 9  Users (or earlier versions): If you do not have the 20/20 mask needed for this tutorial you can download it HERE - Copy the 20/20 mask file to the mask folder of PSP

Used Colors

  • Foregroundcolor: #e4e4d6

  • Backgroundcolor: #22818B

This translation is written with PSP13 but can also be made with other PSP versions.

Open a new transparent image of 750 x 600 px

Set your Foregroundcolor to Foreground/Background Gradient (Corel_06_029) - Style: Radial

Fill your image with the gradient.

Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited - RCS Filter Pak 1.0 - RCS TripleExposure

Effects - Reflection  Effects - Rotating Mirror

Layers - Duplicate

Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance

Effects - Plugins - Simple - 4Way Average - Default

Layers - Load/Save Mask - Load Mask from Disk - 20/20

Layers - Duplicate

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited -  UnPlugged Shapes - Pieslice...

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling

Layer Palette - Set the Blend Mode of this layer to "Hard Light"

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - "Astrid selectie 103"

Fill the selection with #22818b

Selections - Select None

Effects - Geometric Effects - Skew

Layers - New Raster Layer

Fill with #22818b

Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image - MaskCameron92 - Source Luminance checked - Invert Mask Data NOT checked

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Effects - Geometric Effects - Skew

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - "Astrid selectie 103a" - Same settings as before

Hit the Delete key on your keyboard

Selections - Select None

Layer Palette - Set the Blend Mode of this layer to "Multiply"

Set your Foregroundcolor back to color

Layers - New Raster Layer

Paint Brush Tool   - "Astrid penseel 103" - Size: 601 - Step: 32 - Density: 100 - Rotation: 0 - Opacity: 100 - Blend Mode: Normal - Continuous checked - Wet paint Unchecked

Stamp with #e4e4d6 (Foregroundcolor) like this

Layer Palette - Set the Blend Mode of this layer to "Overlay"

Layers - Merge - Merge Visible

Effects - Plugins - Flaming Pear - Flood

 

 

07.

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - "Astrid selectie 103b" - Same settings as before

Fill with #22818b

Selections - Modify - Contract - 1 px

Hit the Delete key on your keyboard

Selections - Modify - Contract - 8 px

Fill with #e4e4d6

Selections - Select None

Layers - New Raster Layer

Paint Brush Tool   - "Astrid penseel 103a" - Size: 391 - Step: 32 - Density: 100 - Rotation: 0 - Opacity: 100 - Blend Mode: Normal - Continuous checked - Wet paint Unchecked

Stamp at the bottom of your image, with #e4e4d6 (Foregroundcolor) like this

Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance

Layer Palette - Set the Blend Mode of this layer to "Luminance (Legacy)" and the Layer Opacity to 44

 

 

09.

Open Tube "Astrid Deco 103" - Edit - Copy

On your work image  - Edit  - Paste As New Layer

Layer Palette - Set the Blend Mode of this layer to "Overlay"

 

 

10.

Open Tube "Astrid tekst 103" - Edit - Copy

On your work image  - Edit  - Paste As New Layer

Layer Palette - Set the Layer Opacity of this layer to 75

Move like this:

 

 

11.

Open Tube "Mary 0712-28" - Edit - Copy

On your work image  - Edit  - Paste As New Layer

Image - Resize - 60% - Resize all layers not checked

Image - Mirror

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Perspective Shadow -  Settings Tab: Preset Astrid Shadow 103

Move like this:

 

 

12.

Open Tube "Mary 0712-29" - Edit - Copy

On your work image  - Edit  - Paste As New Layer

Image - Resize - 40% - Resize all layers not checked

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Perspective Shadow -  Settings Tab: Preset Astrid Shadow 103

Move like this:

Layers - Merge - Merge Visible

 

13.

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  -2 px -#22818b

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 5 px -#e4e4d6

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  -1 px -#22818b

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 30 px -#e4e4d6

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  -1 px -#22818b

 

14.

Add your name or watermark, save as JPG file and you're done!
