This tutorial is written with PSP17

  • <I.C.NET Software> - Filters Unlimited 2.0

  • Alf's Power Toys - Sin Tiles **

  • &<BKg Designer sf10 III> - Se Shiver **
  • Tramages - Tow The Line
  • Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Perspective Shadow

** Import into Filters Unlimited

 

Preparations:

  • Copy the Selection files to the Selections folder of PSP
  • Open the Brush in PSP and export as Custom Brush ( File - Export - Custom Brush)

From PSP 14, 15 AND 16 there is no option for Image - Mirror & Image -  Flip There is a new option but this does not give the same result except when the tube/image covers the whole image from side to side There is a easy way to add the old Mirror and Flip options to the Image Menu I have written a tutorial you can find it HERE. From PSP 17 the option is back but with a twist

 

 

Colors:

       
#ccc5a8 #807f85 #ffffff #000000        

Note: When working with your own colors, play with the Blend Mode and/or Opacity at your own discretion

  • Set your Foregroundcolor to #ccc5a8

  • Set your Backgroundcolor to #807f85

Color Palette: Set your Foregroundcolor to Foreground/Background Gradient (Corel_06_029) - Style: Linear

 

 

The tutorial:

Open a new transparent image of 900 x 600 px

Fill with the Gradient

Effects - Plugins - <I.C.NET Software> - Filters Unlimited 2.0 - Alf's Power Toys - Sin Tiles

Layers - Duplicate

Image - Resize - 80% - Resize all Layers not checked

Effects - Plugins - <I.C.NET Software>  - Filters Unlimited -&<BKg Designer sf10 III> - Se Shiver

Effects - 3D Effects - Dropshadow - Color #000000

Layer Palette - Click on the Bottom Layer

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Select All

Open Image "JHanna_679 background2

Note: If you are using tubes and colors of your own,  it is best to use the tube provided in the Materials for this step, otherwise the result will be different. You can colorize it to match your work.

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste Into Selection

Selections - Select None

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Hard Light" and the Layer Opacity to 42

Set the Foreground Gradient back to color and change to #ffffff

Layers - New Raster Layer

Paint Brush Tool   - "ASDwebs_BonjourParis_Raster" - Size: 288

Stamp with your Foregroundcolor in the Top Right Corner like this:

Layers - Duplicate

Image - Mirror - Mirror Horizontal ( Image - Mirror in previous PSP Versions)

Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Layers - Duplicate

Image - Mirror - Vertical ( Image - Flip in previous PSP Versions)

Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Layer Opacity of this Layer to 80

Layer Palette - Click on the Top Layer

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - ASDwebs_Sel_#458

 
Selections - Promote Selection to Layer
 
Effects - Plugins - Tramages - Tow The Line
 

Selections - Select None

Layers - Duplicate

Image - Mirror - Mirror Horizontal ( Image - Mirror in previous PSP Versions)

Image - Mirror - Vertical ( Image - Flip in previous PSP Versions)

Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Soft  Light"

Your work and Layer Palette look like this now:

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selection Tool - Rectangle - Custom Selection:    

Open Image "JHanna_749 background_a

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste Into Selection

Selections - Select None

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

Colorize if you use different colors

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selection Tool - Rectangle - Custom Selection:    

Open Image "JHanna_586 background

Note: If you are using tubes and colors of your own,  it is best to use the tube provided in the Materials for this step, otherwise the result will be different. You can colorize it to match your work.

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste Into Selection

Selections - Select None

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen More

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Burn" and the Layer Opacity to 80

Open Tube "ASDwebs_Deco_#2105

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Layer Opacity of this Layer to 60

Color Palette: Change the Foregroundcolor to #ccc5a8

Layers  New Raster Layer

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - ASDwebs_Sel_#459

Fill the Selection with the Foregroundcolor

Seletions - Select None

Effects - 3D Effects - Dropshadow - Color #000000

Layers - Duplicate

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Overlay" and the Layer Opacity to 60

Color Palette: Change the Foregroundcolor to #000000

Layers  New Raster Layer

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - ASDwebs_Sel_#460

Fill the Selection with the Foregroundcolor

Seletions - Select None

Layers - Duplicate

Layers - Merge  Merge Down

Effects - 3D Effects - Dropshadow - Color #000000

Open Tube "@nn_240207_pen_tdstudio

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Image - Resize - 25% - Resize all Layers not checked

Move to the Left like this:

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

Effects - 3D Effects - Dropshadow - Color #000000

Open Tube "JHanna_749 tube

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Image - Mirror - Mirror Horizontal ( Image - Mirror in previous PSP Versions)

Move to the Right like this:

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

Effects - 3D Effects - Dropshadow - Color #000000

Color Palette: Set the Foregroundcolor to #807f85 and to the same Gradient as in step 1:

Foreground/Background Gradient (Corel_06_029) - Style: Linear

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 1 px - Backgroundcolor

Selections - Select All

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 50 px - #ffffff

Selections Invert

Selections - Modify - Contract - 3 px

Fill the Selection with the Gradient

Effects - Plugins - Tramages - Tow The Line

 

Selections - Select All

Selections - Modify - Contract - 47 px

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Perspective Shadow -  Settings Tab: Preset Dropshadow, Blurry

 Selections - Select None

Open Tube "ASDwebs_Deco_#2106

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Layer Opacity of this Layer to 80

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 1 px - #000000

Image - Resize - Width 900 Pixels - Resize all Layers checked

Add your name or watermark, save as JPG file and you're done!
