This translation is written with PSP 18 if you work with older versions some things might be different but the result will be the same.

  • Flaming Pear - Flexify 2
  • Nik Software - Color Efex Pro 3.0

 

Preparations:

  • Open the masks and the Tubes in PSP, minimize to tray NOTE: If you are using different colors you might need to colorize some of the files
  • Download Preset Emboss3 HERE - Copy it to the Presets folder of PSP
  • Copy the Pick Tool Preset to the Presets folder of PSP
  • Save the Flexify Preset to your Hard Drive

From PSP 14, 15 AND 16 there is no option for Image - Mirror & Image -  Flip There is a new option but this does not give the same result except when the tube/image covers the whole image from side to side There is a easy way to add the old Mirror and Flip options to the Image Menu I have written a tutorial you can find it HERE. From PSP 17 the option is back

Note 1: When working with your own colors, play with the Blend Mode and/or Opacity at your own discretion

  • Set your Foregroundcolor to #e1d0b2    

  • Set your Backgroundcolor to #231e1b   

Color Palette: Set your Foregroundcolor to Foreground/Background Gradient (Corel_06_029) - Style: Sunburst

 

Note 2: The colors your are working with look different then the end result this is because at the end of the tutorial  the Plugin Nik Software - Color Efex Pro 3.0 is used!

Open "marquise-alpha-regis" This image contains Alpha Selections

Window - Duplicate (or shift+D) - Close the original and proceed on the copy

Fill with the Gradient

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling - Preset Side by Side

Color Palette: Set the Foreground Gradient back to color

Layers - New Raster Layer

Fill with the Foregroundcolor

Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image - ildiko@create0008_mask - Source luminance Checked - Invert mask data NOT checked

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Layers - New Raster Layer

Fill with the Foregroundcolor

Effects - Plugins - <I.C.NET Software> - Filters Unlimited 2.0 - Special Effects1 - Radar

Effects - Plugins - Toadies - What Are You? - X-dose 50 - Y-dose 50

Effects - User Defined Filter - Emboss_3

Effects - Plugins - Simple - 4Way Average

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to  "Multiply"

Selections - Promote Selection to Layer

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Overlay"

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Layers - Duplicate

Image - Mirror - Mirror Horizontal ( Image - Mirror in previous PSP Versions)

Image - Mirror - Mirror Vertical ( Image - Flip in previous PSP Versions)

Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to  "Multiply"

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Alpha Channel -  marquise-1-regis

Flood Fill Tool - Set the Opacity to 20

Fill the Selection with the Foregroundcolor

Selections - Select None

Effects - Plugins - Flaming Pear - Flexify 2 - Click on the Red Arrow and load Preset marquise-regis

Or if this is not working for you with these settings:

Effects - Texture Effects - Blinds - Backgroundcolor

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Alpha Channel -  marquise-2-regis

Flood Fill Tool - Set the Opacity to 40

Fill the Selection with the Foregroundcolor

Set the Opacity of the Flood Fill Tool back to 100

Selections - Select None

Maximize Tube "deko-1" from tray 

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Luminance (Legacy)"

Maximize Tube "ann_140607_misted_fractal_tdstudio" from tray 

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Hit the K key (or depending on your PSP version the D key) of your keyboard to activate the Pick Tool/Deformation tool

Load Preset:  Regis_Marquise_Preset_PickTool

Or if this is not working in your PSP version, hit the K key of your Keyboard and move the Nodes up and inwards like this:

   until it looks like this:

Hit the M key of your Keyboard to remove the Nodes

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Luminance (Legacy)" and the Layer Opacity to 40

Maximize Tube "riss" from tray 

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Image - Mirror - Mirror Horizontal ( Image - Mirror in previous PSP Versions)

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Soft Light"

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten)

Effects - Plugins - Nik Software - Color Efex Pro 3.0 - Bi Color Filters - Color Set 2 - Opacity 43 ( or pick one you like to match the colors of your tube

Adjust - One Step Photo Fix

Maximize Tube "deko-2" from tray 

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Maximize Tube "Challange_Tube_LaMarquise" from tray 

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Image - Resize - 75% - Resize all Layers not checked

Image - Mirror - Mirror Horizontal ( Image - Mirror in previous PSP Versions)

Move like this:

Tip from Anya: If you use a tube of your own and you want to place it at the same way, add your tube load Selection marquise-2-regis From Alpha Channel -  and hit the delete key of your keyboard, deselect.

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow -  Vertical Minus 5 - Horizontal Minus 5 - Opacity 50 - Blur - 35  - Color - #000000

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 10 px - #ffffff

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten)

Optional: Image - Resize - Width 900 Pixels - Resize all Layers checked

Add your name or watermark, save as JPG file and you're done!
