Preparations:

  • Copy the Selection files to the Selections folder of PSP
  • Install the Font into the Windows Font folder
  • Copy the Texture to the Textures  folder of PSP
  • Save the .gif file to your desktop
  • Open all other files in PSP, duplicate and minimize to tray. Close the originals. NOTE: If you are using different colors you might need to colorize some of the files.
     

From PSP 14, 15 AND 16 there is no option for Image - Mirror & Image -  Flip There is a new option but this does not give the same result except when the tube/image covers the whole image from side to side There is a easy way to add the old Mirror and Flip options to the Image Menu I have written a tutorial you can find it HERE. From PSP 17 the option is back

Note: When working with your own colors, play with the Blend Mode and/or Opacity at your own discretion

  • Set your Foregroundcolor to #9d333d

  • Set your Backgroundcolor to #000000

Color Palette: Set your Foregroundcolor to Foreground/Background Gradient (Corel_06_029) - Style: Sunburst

 

 

 

The tutorial: Part 1

01

Open a new transparent image of 950 x 550 px

Fill the Layer with the Gradient  

Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur

Effects - Distortion Effects - Pixelate

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

Layers - Duplicate

Layer Palette:  Right click on this Layer and Rename it Lines

Effects - Artistic Effects - Glowing Edges

Your work should look like this now:

Effects - Plugins - Transparency -  Eliminate Black

Layers - Duplicate

Image - Resize - 80% - Resize All Layers - not checked

Layer Palette:  Change the Blend Mode of this Layer to Overlay

Image - Free Rotate

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

Effects - Plugins - Flaming Pear - Flexify 2

Effects - Simple - Top Left Mirror

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Selection Tool (S) - Freehand Selection 

Draw a Selection around the inner diamond like this:

Edit - Cut  (or hit Delete on your keyboard)

Selections - Select None

Layer Palette:  Click on the Layer "Lines"

Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited 2.0 - Cybia - Screenworks - Grid Layout

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow

Layer Palette:  Lower the Opacity of this Layer to 85

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 1px - #000000  

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 25px - #ffffff     

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 1px - #000000

Materials Palette: Change the Foregroundcolor to - #deb989  

Click on the Foreground Palette and Change to Gradient:

 

On your work image:

Image Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 35px - Backgroundcolor 

Select the border with the Magic Wand

Fill the Selection with the Gradient   keep selected

Effects - Texture Effects - Texture

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen More

Selections - Select None

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 2px - #000000

Image - Resize - 90% - Resize All Layers - not checked

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow

Repeat the Drop Shadow with Vertical and Horizontal at  -2 and -3

Layer Palette:  Lower the Opacity of this Layer to 50

Maximize "ATSCafeSociety_crown3"  from tray

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste - Paste As New Layer

Image - Resize - 40% - Resize All Layers - checked

Move to the Right like this:

Adjust - Hue and Saturation - Colorize

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow

Materials Palette: Change the Foreground Gradient back to Color

Reverse your Colors so that    is in the Foreground

Text Tool (T)  Size: 52px

Type the word " Gentleman"

Layer Palette: Right click and Convert to Raster Layer

Move into place like this:

Layer Palette:  Change the Blend Mode to Luminance (Legacy)

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow  10 -10 - 60 - 30 #000000

Now type the word  "Burglar"

Layer Palette: Right click and Convert to Raster Layer

Move between the tiara and clock like this:

Change the Blend Mode to Luminance (Legacy)

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow  10 -10 - 60 - 30 #000000

Layers - Merge - Merge All Flatten

Add your name or watermark

Image - Resize to 900px

Layers - Merge All - Flatten

Edit - Copy

Save as a JPG  file


Part 2  The Animation

 

01

Open Animation Shop

Edit - Paste - Paste As New Animation (Frame1)

File - Open -" 62d30.gif "  from your desktop

Animation - Resize Animation

Edit - Select All

This animation has eight frames so you will need eight frames of your work image.

Right click on frame1: Choose Duplicate Selected from the Menu

Edit - Select All - Duplicate Selected  (twice)

You now have eight frames

Edit Select All

Edit - Propogate Paste

Go back to 62d30.gif

Edit - Copy

Right click on your work image:  Edit - Paste - Paste into Selected, the small image is hanging from your mouse.

Move your mouse to position the element then right click to release it

Note: All frames of both images must be active for the animation to work, click on the back arrow to undo this step if necessary

View - Animation

If everything is to your liking:  File - Save As

Name your work and click on Save - Next - Next - Next - Finish
