Materials:

This translation is written with PSP15 but can also be made with other PSP versions.

 

 

Plugins:

  • Xero - Clarity
  • Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Impact - Perspective Shadow & Glass
  • Simple - Diamonds
  • Graphics Plus - Cross Shadow

  • AAA Frames - Texture Frame

  • MuRa's Meister - Copies

 

Preparations:

  • Double Click on the Eye Candy Presets, they will be imported automatically
  • Copy the Selection files to the Selections folder of PSP

  • Open the Mask in PSP and minimize to tray

From PSP 14 and higher versions there is no option for Image - Mirror & Image -  Flip There is a new option but this does not give the same result except when the tube/image covers the whole image from side to side There is a easy way to add the old Mirror and Flip options to the Image Menu I have written a tutorial you can find it HERE

 

 

Colors:

       
#c4dcf8 #689fcb #000000 #ffffff        

Note: When working with your own colors, play with the Blend Mode and/or Opacity at your own discretion

  • Set your Foregroundcolor to #c4dcf8

  • Set your Backgroundcolor to #689fcb

 

 

The tutorial:

Open a new transparent image of 750 x 550 px

Fill with the Foregroundcolor

Layers - New Raster Layer

Fill with the Backgroundcolor

Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image - 418-kris 

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance

Magic Wand Tool - Mode: Add /Shift - Tolerance 0 - Contiguous checked - Anti Alias Checked -  Click in the first square like this:

Open Tube "aaabibichestraub007

Edit - Copy

Minimize to tray, you need it again later

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Selections - Invert

Edit - Cut (Or hit the Delete Key of your Keyboard)

Selections - Select None

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - arctic_regis

Edit - Paste as New Layer (Tube is still in your PSP  memory)

Selections - Invert

Edit - Cut (Or hit the Delete Key of your Keyboard)

Selections - Select None

Effects - Plugins - Xero - Clarity - Default settings

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - arctic1_regis

Edit - Paste as New Layer (Tube is still in your PSP  memory)

Selections - Invert

Edit - Cut (Or hit the Delete Key of your Keyboard)

Selections - Select None

Effects - Plugins - Xero - Clarity - Default settings

Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Edit - Repeat Layer Merge Down

Again: Edit - Repeat Layer Merge Down

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Perspective Shadow -  Settings Tab: Preset Regis_Arctic_Shadow_#1

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - arctic2_regis

Open Tube "frozen horizon

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Selections - Invert

Edit - Cut (Or hit the Delete Key of your Keyboard)

Selections - Select None

Effects - Plugins - Xero - Clarity - Default settings

Open Tube "mou_pendul

Window - Duplicate (or shift+D) - Close the original and proceed on the copy

Colorize if you use different colors

Maximize Tube "aaabibichestraub007from Tray

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste Into Selection

Edit - Repeat Paste Into Selection

Again: Edit - Repeat Paste Into Selection

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Glass -  Settings Tab: Preset Regis_Arctic_Glass_#1

Selections - Select None

Edit - Copy

On your main image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Note: If you use another tube make sure the Pendule is in line with the tube on your image, you might need to use other Offset Settings

Layers - Duplicate

Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - 15

Layers - Arrange - Move Down

Layer Palette - Click on the Top Layer

Effects  3D Effects - Dropshadow - Color #000000

Open Tube "arctic_text_regis

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Colorize if you use different colors

Layers - Duplicate

Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - 15

Layers - Arrange - Move Down

Layer Palette - Click on the Top Layer

Effects  3D Effects - Dropshadow - Color #000000

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Layer Opacity of this Layer to 55

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 1 px - Backgroundcolor

Selections - Select All

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 55 px - #ffffff

Selections - Invert

Effects  3D Effects - Dropshadow - Color #000000

Repeat with the Vertical Ofsett to Minus 2 and the  Horizontal Offset to Minus 4

Keep selected

Selections - Invert

Effects - Plugins - Simple - Diamonds

Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - 35

Effects - Plugins -  Graphics Plus - Cross Shadow

Effects - Plugins - AAA Frames - Texture Frame

Selections - Select None

Open Tube "snowflake1

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Colorize if you use different colors

Image - Resize - 50% - Resize all Layers not checked

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Effects - Plugins - MuRa's Meister - Copies

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - arctic4_regis

Edit - Cut (Or hit Delete on your keyboard)  

Selections - Select None

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Soft Light"

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten)

Add your name or watermark, save as JPG file and you're done!
