Preparations:

  • Copy the Selection files to the Selections folder of PSP
  • Open the Masks in PSP and minimize them to tray

From PSP 14, 15 AND 16 there is no option for Image - Mirror & Image -  Flip There is a new option but this does not give the same result except when the tube/image covers the whole image from side to side There is a easy way to add the old Mirror and Flip options to the Image Menu I have written a tutorial you can find it HERE. From PSP 17 the option is back

Note: When working with your own colors, play with the Blend Mode and/or Opacity at your own discretion

  • Set your Foregroundcolor to #ffffff

  • Set your Backgroundcolor to #603636

 

 

The tutorial:

01

Open a new transparent image of 900 x 600 px

Selections - Select All

Open Image  "cerisier-parc-de-sceaux-france

Note: If you are using tubes and colors of your own,  it is best to use the Image provided in the Materials for this step, otherwise the result will be different. You can colorize it to match your work.

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste Into Selection

Selections - Select None

Adjust - Blur - Radial Blur

Layers - New Raster Layer

Fill with the Foregroundcolor

Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image - MASK-MD-046 - Source luminance Checked - Invert mask data NOT checked

Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance More

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

 Layers - New Raster Layer

 Fill with the Foregroundcolor

Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image - cas_Mask0514_2 - Source luminance Checked - Invert mask data NOT checked

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Layer Palette - Click on the Bottom Layer (Raster 1)

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - nikki_summer

Selections - Promote Selection to Layer

Layers - Arrange - Bring to Top

Adjust Blur - Gaussian blur - 25

Keep selected!

Open Tube "Tocha24705

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste Into Selection

Layers - New Raster Layer

Effects  3D Effects - Cutout - Color #000000

Selections - Select None

Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Colorize if you use different colors

Image - Free Rotate - Left checked - 90° - Both boxes unchecked

Image - Resize - 70% - Resize all Layers not checked

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow -  Vertical 0 - Horizontal 0 - Opacity 50 - Blur - 40 Color - #000000

Move to the Left like this:

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Image - Resize - 70% - Resize all Layers not checked

Image - Mirror - Mirror Vertical ( Image - Flip in previous PSP Versions)

Move to the Right like this:

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow -  Vertical 0 - Horizontal 0 - Opacity 70 - Blur - 20 - Foregroundcolor

Image - Free Rotate - Left checked - 90° - Both boxes unchecked

Move to the Bottom like this:

Set your Foregroundcolor to Foreground/Background Gradient (Corel_06_029) - Style: Radial

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 2 px - #ffffff

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 15 px - #bf9e9e

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 2 px - #ffffff

Selections - Select All

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 50 px - #bf9e9e

Selections - Invert

Fill the Selection with the Gradient

Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - 25

Effects - Plugins -  Graphics Plus - Cross Shadow - Default settings (6 x 50 & 2 x 128)

Effects - Plugins - <I.C.NET Software>  Filters Unlimited 2.0 - &Bkg Kaleidoscope> - @Mirrored  Scaled

Selections - Select None

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 2 px - #ffffff

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 15 px - #bf9e9e

Optional: Image - Resize - Width 900 Pixels - Resize all Layers checked

Add your name or watermark, save as JPG file and you're done!
