This translation is written with PSP17, if you work with older versions some things might be different but the result will be the same.

 

 

Plugins:

  • <I.C.NET Software>  - Filters Unlimited 2.0
  • &<BKg Designer sf10 III> - VMEshoutin'! **
  • &<Backgrounddesigner IV - @Night Shadow **

  • VanDerLee - Unplugged X - Vertical Tile
  • Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation
  • L and K landksiteofwonders - L en K's Zitah

** Import into Filters Unlimited

 

Preparations:

  • Open the Brush in PSP and export as Custom Brush ( File - Export - Custom Brush)
  • Copy the Selection files to the Selections folder of PSP
  • Copy the Texture to the Textures folder of PSP
  • Check if you have the Triangle Preset Shape (Corel_11_079) , if not copy it to the Preset Shapes folder of PSP

From PSP 14, 15 AND 16 there is no option for Image - Mirror & Image -  Flip There is a new option but this does not give the same result except when the tube/image covers the whole image from side to side There is a easy way to add the old Mirror and Flip options to the Image Menu I have written a tutorial you can find it HERE. From PSP 17 the option is back

Note: When working with your own colors, play with the Blend Mode and/or Opacity at your own discretion

  • Set your Foregroundcolor to #ffffff

  • Set your Backgroundcolor to #5a4860

Color Palette: Set your Foregroundcolor to Foreground/Background Gradient (Corel_06_029) - Style: Linear

 

The tutorial:

Open a new transparent image of 800 x 550 px

Fill with the Backgroundcolor (Right Mouse Click)

Layers - New Raster Layer

Fill with the Gradient

Effects - Plugins - <I.C.NET Software>  - Filters Unlimited 2.0 -&<BKg Designer sf10 III> - VMEshoutin'!

Effects - Distortion Effects - Pinch - Strength: 100 %

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Multiply" and the Layer Opacity to 70

Color Palette: Set the Foreground Gradient back to Color

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - "Astrid selectie 148a01" - Replace Selection & Source luminance

Fill the Selection with the Foregroundcolor

Selections - Select None

Effects - Distortion Effects - Wave

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - "Astrid selectie 148a02" - Replace Selection & Source luminance

Fill the Selection with the Backgroundcolor

Selections - Select None

Effects - Distortion Effects - Wave

Layers - Duplicate

Layer Palette - Click on the Second Layer from the Top

Effects - Plugins - <I.C.NET Software> - Filters Unlimited 2.0 - &<Backgrounddesigner IV - @Night Shadow

Layer Palette - Click on the Top Layer

Effects - Plugins - VanDerLee - Unplugged X - Vertical Tile

Image - Mirror - Mirror Horizontal ( Image - Mirror in previous PSP Versions) 

Effects - Texture Effects - Texture - Astrid Textuur 148a

Open Tube "Astrid tekst 148a

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Overlay"

Open Tube "Astrid Deco 148a01

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Overlay"

Preset Shape Tool - Shape: Triangle ( Corel_11_079, Included in materials for those who do not have it)

Color Palette: Close the Foreground color

Make a Triangle Shape like this:

Layers - Convert to Raster Layer

Preset Shape Tool - same color and settings

Make a Shape like this:

Layers - Convert to Raster Layer

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Multiply"

Layers - Duplicate

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Layer Opacity of this Layer to 75

Move a little up like this:

Open Tube "Astrid Deco 148a02

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Colorize of you use different colors

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Symetric Shape Tool

Color Palette: Swap Materials:

Make a Star like this:

Hit the M key of your Keyboard

Layers - Convert to Raster Layer

Magic Wand Tool - Mode: Add /Shift - Tolerance 0 - Contiguous checked - Anti Alias Checked -  Click in the Star:

Color Palette: Swap Materials again, Open the Foregroundcolor

Layers  - New Raster Layer!!

Fill the Selection with the Foregrouncolor 

Selections - Select None

Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - 4

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation.

Layers - Arrange - Move Down

Layer Palette - Click on the Top Layer

Layers - New Raster Layer

Pastel Tool

  

Color Palette: Swap Materials:

Draw a line like this, example is made with a different color  the actual result is shown in the second screen:

Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - 25.

Effects - Plugins -  L and K landksiteofwonders - L en K's Zitah

Color Palette: Swap Materials again

Layers - New Raster Layer

Paint Brush Tool   - "Astrid penseel 148a" - Size: 199

Stamp with the Foregroundcolor in the Top Left Corner like this:

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Layer Opacity of this Layer to 50

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 1 px - Foregroundcolor

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 1 px - Backgroundcolor

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 25 px - Foregroundcolor

Add your name or watermark, save as JPG file and you're done!
