Materials:  

This translation is written with PSP15 but can also be made with other PSP versions.

Plugins:

  • Alien Skin - Snap Art
  • AAA Frames - Foto frame
  • Toadies - What Are You?
  • Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Impact - Motion Trail

 

Preparations:

  • Open the Mask files in PSP and minimize to tray
  • Double Click on the Eye Candy Presets, they will be imported automatically
  • PSP 9  Users (or earlier versions): If you do not have the 20/20 mask needed for this tutorial you can download it HERE - Copy the 20/20 mask file to the mask folder of PSP
  • Download Preset Emboss3 HERE - Copy it to the Presets folder of PSP

From PSP 14 and higher versions there is no option for Image - Mirror & Image -  Flip There is a new option but this does not give the same result except when the tube/image covers the whole image from side to side There is a easy way to add the old Mirror and Flip options to the Image Menu I have written a tutorial you can find it HERE

 

Colors:

Note: When working with your own colors, play with the Blend Mode and/or Opacity at your own discretion

  • Set your Foregroundcolor to #ffffff

  • Set your Backgroundcolor to #000000

Open "dakota-alpha-regis" This image contains Alpha Selections

Window - Duplicate (or shift+D) - Close the original and proceed on the copy

Selections - Select All

Open Image "!icd_00c61c877e

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste Into Selection

Selections - Select None

Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur -  30

Layers - Duplicate

Image - Resize - 75% - Resize all Layers not checked

Image - Free Rotate - Left - Free  - 35

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling

Effects  3D Effects - DropShadow - Color: #000000

Layers - Merge - Merge Visible

Your work looks like this now:

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Alpha Channel - dakota-regis


Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin - Snap Art  - Watercolor - Settings Tab regis-dakota-watercolor

Selections - Select None

Effects - Plugins - AAA Frames - Foto frame

Effects - Plugins - Toadies - What Are You? - X-dose 20 - Y-dose 20

Layers - New Raster Layer

Fill with the Foregroundcolor

Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image - @Cms-Fond54

Layers - Duplicate

Edit - Repeat duplicate layer

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Alpha Channel - dakote-1-regis


Edit - Cut (Or hit the Delete Key of your Keyboard)

Selections - Select None

Layers - Duplicate

Image - Mirror

Image - Flip

Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Dodge" and the Layer Opacity to 26

Layers - New Raster Layer

Fill with the Foregroundcolor

Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image - @nn_090313_mask_252_tdstudio

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Difference" and the Layer Opacity to 46


Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Alpha Channel

Selections - Select None

Open Tube "ebene-scribe

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Effects - Image Effects - Offset:

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Overlay" and the Layer Opacity to 80

Open Tube "Magic_Eyes:lahesCiBiBijoux

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Layers - Load/Save Mask - Load Mask from Disk - 20-20

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Move like this:

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Alpha Channel - dakota-3-regis


Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Motion Trail -  Settings Tab: Preset regis-dakota-motion

Selections - Select None

Note: If you use a tube of your own the effect can be different, if it does not look tight, just skip this step

Open Tube "text-dakota

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Effects - Image Effects - Offset


Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Overlay"

Open Tube "WA2

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Image - Resize - 95% - Resize all Layers not checked

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Image - Negative Image

Effects  3D Effects - DropShadow - Color: #000000

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Layer Opacity of this Layer to 60

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 1 px - Backgroundcolor

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 20 px - Foregroundcolor

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 1 px - Backgroundcolor

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 35 px - Foregroundcolor

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 1 px - Backgroundcolor

Image - Resize - Width 950 Pixels - Resize all Layers checked

Add your name or watermark, save as JPG file and you're done!
