Materials:  

This translation is written with PSP15 but can also be made with other PSP versions.

Plugins:

  • Simple - Blintz , Pizza Slice Mirror  & 4Way Average

  • Tramages - Tow The Line

  • Transparency - Eliminate Black

  • MuRa's Meister - Perspective Tiling

  • VM Distortion - Distortion by Transparency

  • XE Xtras - Elemental

  • Andromeda - Perspective

  • Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Impact - Perspective Shadow

 

Preparations:

  • Copy the Selection files to the Selections folder of PSP
  • Double Click on the Eye Candy Preset, it will be imported automatically

From PSP 14 and higher versions there is no option for Image - Mirror & Image -  Flip There is a new option but this does not give the same result except when the tube/image covers the whole image from side to side There is a easy way to add the old Mirror and Flip options to the Image Menu I have written a tutorial you can find it HERE

 

Colors:

           
#000000 #ffffff            

Note: When working with your own colors, play with the Blend Mode and/or Opacity at your own discretion

  • Set your Foregroundcolor to #000000

  • Set your Backgroundcolor to #ffffff

 

The tutorial:

 

01

Open a new transparent image of 950 x 500 px

Fill with the Foregroundcolor

Selections - Select All

Open Tube "logane_mistedpaysage3_11avril2012" 

Note: If you are using tubes and colors of your own,  it is best to use the tube provided in the Materials for this step, otherwise the result will be different. You can colorize it to match your work.

Edit - Copy

Minimize to tray, you need it again

On your work image:  Edit - Paste Into Selection

Selections - Select None

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling

Effects - Plugins - Simple - Blintz

Effects - Plugins - Simple - Pizza Slice Mirror

Effects - Plugins - Simple - Blintz

Effects - Plugins - Simple - 4Way Average

Your work looks like this now:

Layers - Duplicate

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk -athe 364

Edit - Cut (Or hit the Delete Key of your Keyboard)

Selections - Select None

Layer Palette - Click on the Bottom Layer

Effects - Plugins - Tramages - Tow The Line

Effects - Edge Effects - Dilate

Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance

Open Tube "elem-1-Athe-tuto-vanessa

Edit - Copy

Minimize to tray, you need it again

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Layers - Merge - Merge Visible

Your work looks like this now

Layers - Duplicate

Image - Resize - 80% - Resize all Layers not checked

Image - Free Rotate - Right checked - 90°

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling

Layers - Duplicate

Effects - Plugins - Transparency - Eliminate Black

Image - Flip

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Overlay"

Your work and Layer Palette look like this now:

Maximize Tube "elem-1-Athe-tuto-vanessafrom tray

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Image - Resize - 80% - Resize all Layers not checked

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Overlay"

Layer Palette - Click on the Bottom Layer

Open Tube "elem-2-Athe-tuto-vanessafrom tray

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - athe 365

Selections - Modify - Select Selection Borders

Fill with the Backgroundcolor (Right Mouse Click)

Selections - Select None

Layer Palette - Click on the Top Layer

Open Tube "elem-3-Athe-tuto-vanessafrom tray

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

No need to move

Layers - Merge - Merge Visible

Your work looks like this now:

Layers - New Raster Layer

Fill with the Foregroundcolor

Selections - Select All

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Screen"

Edit - Paste as New Layer ( Tube is still in your PSP memory)

No need to move

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Dodge"

Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance

Your work and Layer Palette look like this now:

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 5 px - Backgroundcolor

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 50 px - Foreroundcolor

Layers - Duplicate

Image - Resize - 90% - Resize all Layers not checked

Layers - Merge  - Merge Down

Layers - Duplicate

Image - Resize - 90% - Resize all Layers not checked

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

Layer Palette - Click on the Bottom Layer

Effects - Plugins - VM Distortion - Distortion by Transparency

Layers - Duplicate

Image - Mirror

Image - Flip

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Layer Opacity of this Layer to 50

Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Effects - Plugins - VM Distortion - Distortion by Transparency  - Same Settings

If you are using different colors you may want to colorize this layer

Effects - Plugins - XE Xtras - Elemental - Click on Metals - Click on Chrome - Click on Customize

Layer Palette - Click on the Top Layer

Layers - Duplicate

Layer Palette - Close the Middle Layer by clicking on the little Eye

 

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk -  Athe 366

Selections - Invert

Edit - Cut (Or hit the Delete Key of your Keyboard).

Selections - Select none

Layers - Arrange - Move Down

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Layer Opacity of this Layer to 59

Layer Palette - Click on the Top Layer and open it

Effects - Plugins - Andromeda - Perspective

NOTE: If your Andromeda _ Perspective is not working, copy the tube ASDwebdesigns_AnD_Pers_Vanessa and  Paste As New Layer onto your work : Effects - Image Effects - Offset: H 194 - V Minus 3 - Proceed with step 20

Click on Presets

 

Click on the downwards arrow to scroll trough the menu

Select rt open, click on V

You will get another screen, click on the tick to close the filter.

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Perspective Shadow -  Settings Tab: Preset Dropshadow, Blurry.

Open Tube "elem-4-Athe-tuto-vanessa

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Effects - Image Effects - Offset:

Open Tube "Mary 0812-77

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Image - Resize - 70% - Resize all Layers not checked

Move to the Left like this:

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Perspective Shadow -  Settings Tab: Preset athe-ps-vanessa

Open Tube "texte-vanessa

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Effects - Image Effects - Offset:

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 5 px - Foregroundcolor

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 30 px - Backgroundcolor

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 30 px - Foregroundcolor

Image - Resize - Width 900 px  - Resize all Layers checked

Adjust - Sharpness - Unsharp Mask - Radius 2 - Strength 20 - Clipping 2 - Luminance Only  not Checked

Add your name or watermark, save as JPG file and you're done!
