This translation is written with PSP 2019 ULTIMATE by Corel, if you work with older versions some things might be different but the result will be the same.

   ** Import into Filters Unlimited

 

Preparations:

  • Copy the Selections to the Selections folder of PSP
  • Open all other files in PSP, duplicate and minimize to Tray, close the originals.
  • Export the Brushes to the Brushes folder of PSP (File - Export - Custom Brush)
  • NOTE: If you are using different colors you might need to colorize

From PSP 14 and higher there is no option for Image - Mirror & Image -  Flip There is a new option but this does not give the same result except when the tube/image covers the whole image from side to side There is an easy way to add the old Mirror and Flip options to the Image Menu I have written a tutorial you can find it HERE. From PSP 17 the option is back

Note: When working with your own colors, play with the Blend Mode and/or Opacity at your own discretion

  • Set your Foregroundcolor to #ffffff

  • Set your Backgroundcolor to #526e69

Color Palette: Set your Foregroundcolor to Foreground/Background Gradient (Corel_06_029) - Style: Linear

 

The tutorial:

Open a new transparent image of 800 x 500 px

Fill the Layer with the Foreground Gradient 

Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited - VM Distortion - Radiator II - Default settings

Maximize "Astrid tekst 160 "  from tray

Click on the Bottom Layer

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste - Paste as New Layer

Pick Tool (K)  enter these parameters for the X and Y positions on the Toolbar

0.00  355.00

Press any key to close the Pick Tool

Layer Palette: Change the Blend mode to Multiply and lower the Opacity to 30

Activate "Astrid tekst 160 " again

This time Copy the Middle Layer

On your work image:  Edit - Paste - Paste As New Layer

Pick Tool (K)  enter these parameters for the X and Y positions on the Toolbar

0.00  0.00

Press any key to close the Pick Tool

Layer Palette: Change the Blend Mode of this Layer to Screen and lower the Opacity to 30

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Select All

Maximize "jeanne_Woman_Lady_05_03_2016"  from tray

Erase the watermark

Note: Use the tube supplied for this step, Colorize the selected part to match your work. If you use a different tube the result will be very different.

Edit - Copy

On your work image: Edit - Paste - Paste Into Selection

Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - Radius: 25

Selections - Select None

Layers - Duplicate

Click on the Layer below (original tube Layer)

Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited - VM Distortion - Slicer - Default settings

Layer Palette:  Lower the Opacity to 80

Layer Palette: Click on the Top Layer

Effects - Plugins - AP [Lines] - Lines - SilverLining - Dotty Grid

Layer Palette:  Lower the Opacity to 50

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Load/Save - Load Selection From Disk - "Astrid Selectie 160"

Fill the Selection with the Backgroundcolor

Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited - Background Designers IV - @Night Shadow - Default settings

Selections - Select None

Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance

Staying on this Layer: Selections - Load/Save - Load Selection From Disk - "Astrid Selectie 160a"

Press the Delete button on your Keyboard 3 times

Selections - Select None

Materials Palette: Change the Foreground Gradient back to Color and reverse the Palette

Staying on this Layer: Selections - Load/Save - Load Selection From Disk - "Astrid Selectie 160b"

Selections - Promote Selection to Layer

Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited - Visual Manipulation - Transmission

Selections - Select None

Note: Your Backgroundcolor must be #ffffff to achieve the right effect

Layer Palette: Lower the Opacity of this Layer to 50

Layer Palette: Reverse your Colors again

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Load/Save - Load Selection From Disk - "Astrid Selectie 160c"

Fill the Selection with the Backgroundcolor

Selections - Select None

Layers - New Raster Layer

Materials Palette:  Reverse your Colors

View Rulers

Pen Tool (V)  

Holding the shift key down , draw a line from the Top  250 to the Bottom and again at 500 to the Bottom

Layer Palette: Convert to Raster Layer

Change the Blend Mode of this Layer to Multiply and lower the Opacity to 50

Layers - New Raster Layer

Materials Palette: Reverse your Colors again

Selections - Load/Save - Load Selection From Disk - "Astrid Selectie 160d"

Fill the Selection with the Backgroundcolor 

Selections - Select None

Image - Mirror - Mirror Horizontal

Effects - Geometric Effects - Skew

Layer Palette: Change the Blend Mode of this Layer to Hard Light

Fill the Selection with the Backgroundcolor

Selections - Select None

Layer Palette: Change the Blend Mode of this Layer to Multiply and lower the Opacity to 75

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow  Vertical: 0   Horizontal: 0   Opacity: 100   Blur: 100   Backgroundcolor

Layer Palette:  Change the Blend Mode of this Layer to Multiply

Again Selections - Load/Save - Load Selection From Disk - "Astrid Selectie 160a"

Fill the Selection with your Foregroundcolor

Selections - Select None

Layer Palette: Lower the Opacity of this Layer to 80

Copy the Middle layer

On your work image:  Edit - Paste - Paste As New Layer

Move into the centre of your work like this:

PaintbrushTool (B) "Select Astrid brush 160" from the drop down menu Size: 495

Stamp once with the Foregroundcolor on your work like this:

Layer Palette: Change the Blend Mode of this Layer to Overlay

Stamp once with the Foregroundcolor on your work like this:

Erase the watermark

Edit - Copy

On your main work image:  Edit - Paste - Paste - As new Layer

Image - Resize - 80% - Resize All Layers - not checked

Move down to the Bottom edge and slightly to the Right like this:

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin - Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Perspective Shadow - Preset - Drop Shadow Blurry

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 1px - Foregroundcolor 

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 4px - Backgroundcolor 

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 1px - Foregroundcolor  

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 25px - Backgroundcolor
