This translation is written with PSP 2018 ULTIMATE by Corel, if you work with older versions some things might be different but the result will be the same.

Plugin:

  • Richard Rosenman - Solid Border

 

Preparations:

  • Copy the Mask files to the Mask folder of PSP
  • Open all other Files in PSP, minimize to Tray. NOTE: If you are using different colors you might need to colorize
  • Export the Brush as Custom Brush ( File - Export - Custom Brush) Or copy to the Brushes folder of PSP. (both)
  • PSP 9  Users (or earlier versions): If you do not have the 20/20 mask needed for this tutorial you can download it HERE - Copy the 20/20 mask file to the mask folder of PSP

From PSP 14 and higher there is no option for Image - Mirror & Image -  Flip There is a new option but this does not give the same result except when the tube/image covers the whole image from side to side There is a easy way to add the old Mirror and Flip options to the Image Menu I have written a tutorial you can find it HERE. From PSP 17 the option is back

 

 

Colors:

       
#808080 #c0c0c0 #404040 #000000        

Note: When working with your own colors, play with the Blend Mode and/or Opacity at your own discretion

  • Set your Foregroundcolor to #808080

  • Set your Backgroundcolor to #c0c0c0

Color Palette: Set your Foregroundcolor to Foreground/Background Gradient (Corel_06_029) - Style: Linear

Open a new transparent image of 900 x 550 px

Fill with the Gradient

Color Palette: Set the Foregroundcolor back to color and change to #404040

Layers - New Raster Layer

Fill with the Foreroundcolor

Layers - Load/Save Mask - Load Mask from Disk - edith mask 96

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Layers - Merge - Merge Down
 
Effects - Artistic Effects - Halftone
 
 
Tip from ASDwebdesigns: If you use other colors check RGB instead of Greyscale and see what happens, perhaps you like it better.

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

Layers - New Raster Layer

Fill with the Backgroundcolor (Right Mouse Cick)

Layers - Load/Save Mask - Load Mask from Disk - edith mask 30

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Effects - Geometric Effects - Skew

Layer Palette - Set the Blend Mode of this Layer to "Hard Light"

Layers - New Raster Layer

Change the Foregroundcolor to #000000

 Paint Brush Tool  - "Brush_onner beauty" - Size: 270 - Step: 32 - Density: 100 - Rotation: 0 - Opacity: 100 - Blend Mode: Normal - Continuous checked - Wet look paint Unchecked 

Stamp with the Foregroundcolor in the Bottom Left Corner of your Image like this:

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow -  Vertical & Horizontal 0 - Opacity 60 - Blur 1  - Color #000000

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Select All

Maximize Tube "Boules" from tray 

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste into Selection

Selections - Select None

Colorize if you use different colors

Maximize Tube "Thaļss...si-slmt-" from tray 

Layer Palette: Click on the Middle Layer

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Image - Resize - 90% - Resize all Layers not checked

No need to move

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow -  Vertical & Horizontal 7 - Opacity 70 - Blur 10  - Color #000000

Maximize Tube "bird_blue" from tray 

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Image - Resize - 65% - Resize all Layers not checked

Move to the Right like this:

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow -  Vertical & Horizontal 4 - Opacity 60 - Blur 4  - Color #000000

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten)

Effects - Plugins - Richard Rosenman - Solid Border

Or if you do not have this Plugin: Add a 1 px Black Border

Add your name or watermark, save as JPG file and you're done!
