This translation is written with PSP 2018, if you work with older versions some things might be different but the result will be the same.

Plugins:

  • Graphics Plus - Horizontal Mirror
  • Mehdi - Sorting Tiles & Panel Stripes & Button Beveler lll

  • Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Impact - Perspective Shadow & Glass

 

Preparations:

  • Open the Tubes and the Mask in PSP, minimize to Tray. NOTE: If you are using different colors you might need to colorize
  • Copy the Selection files to the Selections folder of PSP
  • Double Click on the Eye Candy Preset, it will be imported automatically

From PSP 14 and higher there is no option for Image - Mirror & Image -  Flip There is a new option but this does not give the same result except when the tube/image covers the whole image from side to side There is a easy way to add the old Mirror and Flip options to the Image Menu I have written a tutorial you can find it HERE. From PSP 17 the option is back

 

 

Colors:

         
#dddbdc #2f1c2f #000000          

Note: When working with your own colors, play with the Blend Mode and/or Opacity at your own discretion

  • Set your Foregroundcolor to #dddbdc

  • Set your Backgroundcolor to #2f1c2f

 

The tutorial:

Open a new transparent image of 650 x 500 px

Fill with the Backgroundcolor (Right Mouse Click)

Selections - Select All

Maximize Tube "Tube_Womans_Hairstyles_GB_25" from tray 

Note: If you are using a tube  of your own the result may be different, if you want the same result you can use this tube for this step. You can colorize it to match your work.

Edit - Copy

Minimize to tray again, you need it again later

On your work image:  Edit - Paste Into Selection

Selections - Select None

Effects - Plugins -  Graphics Plus - Horizontal Mirror

Selection Tool - Rectangle - Custom Selection:     

Adjust - Blur - Radial Blur

Effects - Plugins - Mehdi - Sorting Tiles

Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance More

Selections - Invert

Adjust - Blur - Radial Blur - Same settings

Effects - Plugins - Mehdi - Sorting Tiles

Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance More

Selections - Select None

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric not checked -  Backgroundcolor

Layers - Duplicate

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Soft Light" and the Layer Opacity to 40

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling

Layers - Merge - Merge Visible

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to  "Luminance"

Color Palette: Set your Foregroundcolor to Foreground/Background Gradient (Corel_06_029) - Style: Linear

 

Magic Wand Tool - Mode: Add /Shift - Tolerance 0 - Contiguous checked - Anti Alias Checked -  Click in the Top and Bottom  border

Fill the Selection with the Gradient

Effects - Artistic Effects - Halftone

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow -  Vertical 0 - Horizontal 0 - Opacity 75 - Blur 25  - Color #000000

Image - Free Rotate - Right checked - Free checked - 45 - Both boxes unchecked

Selections - Promote Selection to Layer

Maximize Tube "Tube_Womans_Hairstyles_GB_25" from tray 

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

(If you use a tube of your own make sure both selections are covered.

Selections - Invert

Edit - Cut (Or hit the Delete Key of your Keyboard)

Selections - Invert

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Hard Light"

Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Edit - Paste As New Layer (Image is still in your PSP memory)

Move a little to the Left like this:

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Opacity of this Layer to 50

Fill with the Foregroundcolor

Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image - Mask_01_GB_2017

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Image - Mirror - Mirror Horizontal

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Overlay"

Maximize Tube "tekst" from tray 

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow -  Vertical 0 - Horizontal 15 - Opacity 75 - Blur 15  - Color #000000

Add your name or watermark, save as JPG file and you're done!
